Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, teaches that G-d alone is G-d, and that Torah, commandments and good deeds are only tools to reach Him.
G-d is G-d, the Holy One, blessed be He; there is none else. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, teaches that G-d is not the Torah you study, nor the commandments you perform — these are only steps to bring you to a higher place, tools to reach Him.
Rabbi Pinto teaches: when you give charity, study Torah, or do great and important things, that is not your G-d. A person must reach a state where he is with G-d — he and the Holy One, blessed be He — until he understands “there is none else.” Everything I face in life, everything I learn, every commandment and good deed, is a tool to reach faith, purity, and devotion to the Holy One, blessed be He.
