🎬 Every trial — trouble, livelihood, illness — has a date it begins and a date it ends. That single sentence changes how you carry it. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, in under thirty seconds.
A trial is not a condition, it is a season. It comes with a start and a finish already set, and the only question is what you will be when it passes. Pass it, and you rise a level — not because the trouble was good, but because you are now a person who can carry that weight. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, puts the whole of emuna into that arithmetic.
Fail it and lose your composure, and the damage is not the trial — it is the world you broke around yourself. “There is no counsel and no wisdom against the L-rd, Holy is He”: the whole world is His, and He can change and turn everything exactly as He wishes. That is not a threat, it is the relief. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, leaves you with the only decision that was ever yours — hold on until the date.
