🎬 Trouble, livelihood, illness — every trial that comes to a person has a day it begins and a day it ends. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, in twenty-six seconds that reframe the whole wait.
A trial is not a sentence, it is a season with borders. It arrives with a start date already set and an end date already set, and the only thing left open is what you will be when it lifts. Pass it — hold your emuna, keep your conduct — and you rise a level, because you are now a person who can carry that weight. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, makes the accounting very simple: the test is measured, and the gain is real.
Fail it and lose your way, and the harm is not the trial — it is the world you broke around yourself. “There is no counsel and no wisdom against the Holy One, blessed be He”: the whole world is His, and He can change and turn everything however He wishes. That is not a threat; it is the relief. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, leaves you with the one decision that was always yours — to stand until the date He set.
