🎬 Everyone faces a riddle in life: why this partner, this poverty, this slowness to understand? Rabbi Moshe Yoel Pinto, shlita, teaches with a beautiful image — the lyre — why the Holy One, blessed be He, tests each person precisely in the one thing that is hardest.
Rabbi Moshe Yoel Pinto, shlita, opens: everyone carries a riddle. Why did the Holy One, blessed be He, give you this partner? Why make you poor, or slow to understand? Each person has his own riddle. And the answer comes from the lyre: “I will solve my riddle with the lyre.”
Rabbi Moshe Yoel Pinto, shlita, explains: the harder you press the string, the louder the sound. So too, the very place where you face the trial, the lack, the hardship — that is exactly where the Holy One, blessed be He, wants you to be most perfect, to sound the loudest, to reach the greatest and most sublime heights. For wherever He presses you hardest, there you are meant to sound the loudest voice.
