✨ Where do people make their biggest mistake in life? Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, reveals it: when wealth comes and things start going well, a person forgets those who stood with him in the hard days — and that is the most dangerous thing.
“My power and the strength of my hand have made me this wealth” — but where do people make all their mistakes in life? They come when a person begins to get rich, when things start going well, and he forgets the people who were with him during the hard times. He forgets his friends. Now that he has money, the one who helped him climb is suddenly dismissed — “he only cheated me.” This, teaches Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, is a perilous loss of perspective.
And you should know, says Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a: all those who reached far up and forgot the people who stood with them down below and helped them there — they are the ones who lose everything they have. Remember those who carried you; gratitude is the foundation that preserves the blessing.
