🎬 There is a flood in the world right now — and every person is in his own flood: livelihood, children, education, matchmaking, confusion, health. Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, gives the first principle for anyone caught in a flood of any kind.
Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, opens with a striking image: “There is a flood in the world. The world is in a serious flood.” Everyone is in his own flood — one in the flood of livelihood, one in the flood of children, one in the flood of education, one in the flood of matchmaking, one in the flood of mental confusion, one in the flood of his health.
Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto, shlit’a, then gives the single principle for anyone caught in a flood of any kind: “Come to the ark” — enter into the words of the Torah. Just as the ark carried Noah above the waters, so the words of the Torah carry a person above the flood of life. Come to the ark — enter into the words of the Torah.
